Tegene is a U.S licensed transactional attorney specializing in contract negotiations, commercial real estate, construction and corporate law.

He attended Michigan State University where he graduated with a B.A. in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy and a Business Cognate. From there he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law with a Certificate of Advanced Study in International and Comparative Law.

He currently resides in Dallas, Texas with his beautiful wife and young son. He is a proud Ethiopian-American, born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and raised in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He has been a diaspora for most of his life, but has kept connected with his native home of Ethiopia, visiting at least once a year for most of his life.

His many travels to Ethiopia and to neighboring countries in the sub Saharan region in the U.S. has cultivated his interest in fostering connections between the diaspora across the world and the unprecedented growth in the continent of Africa.
