To create events, social gatherings, and community-building activities for African Diaspora returnees (or future returnees) to Ghana, and foster opportunities for the diaspora to reintegrate home seamlessly.
OUR WORK
The Diaspora in Ghana community was created as a social extension of The African Diaspora Group, in response to frequent requests from African diaspora returnees for jobs, work opportunities & resources on the content, along with the opportunity to meet and connect with other diasporans who have relocated to Ghana.
We curate experiences designed to provide education on the process of transitioning to Ghana, the platform for other community members to take an active role in helping their fellow diaspora returnee to settle in, and opportunities for networking and socialization between other diasporans in visiting or living in Ghana.
In unity, the African diaspora finds strength. In strength, we build bridges of opportunity, and through opportunity, we forge a community of empowerment and progress.

THE AFRICAN DIASPORA
The African Diaspora describes people of African origin, living outside of the continent by choice, or most predominantly against their will, due to the Transatlantic slave trade. The diaspora is vast, and includes displaced Africans living in numerous countries all around the world. It is time for Africans in the diaspora to break free from their manufactured identities, and return to knowledge of self as an African. Together, the diaspora can do great work on the continent alongside the brothers and sisters who have remained.

MAKE YOUR RETURN
About the Project
The African Diaspora Group has partnered to conduct wide-scale DNA testing in areas on the African continent hard hit by the Transatlantic Slave Trade.
Through such initiatives, we have been able to find and reconnect over 20 local families and counting with their displaced relatives in the diaspora.
Donate now to help us purchase additional test kits to further expand our efforts – you never know, the next reunion could be yours!
